City of Corpus Christi Bond

2020 General Election

Cycle: 2020 General Election

In 2020, the Corpus Christi City Council passed a proposed Bond program that included updates for Corpus Christi streets, parks, and public safety. The issue went before the voters in the General Election to be approved. Working with other Council members and the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, our goal was to do as much positive press around the Bonds, especially because none of the Bonds had any organized opposition.

The focus of this campaign was to highlight the previous Bond enhancements throughout the community, so the voters can have an idea of what their streets and parks would look like after their enhancement or repair. Also, it was necessary to educate the voters on the improvements in their respective communities so they understand the benefit of supporting the Bonds.

Digital Marketing

Created a series of digital ads for each of the proposed Bonds to enhance streets, parks, and public safety. Our series on streets and parks ran with photos of updated Bond projects so voters could see for themselves what improvements they were voting on. For the public safety series, we utilized several photos of police officers and firefighters to evoke a strong level of support for that Bond.

Social Media Management

Created social media content aimed at educating the voting population on the items that were included in the Bonds, and why they should support them. This also allowed voters to engage with the campaign and which in turn build trust in the proposition.
